ORTECH Inc. launched the explosion-proof type far-infrared drying equipment for painting

[Jeonbuk] ORTECH Inc. recently released an explosion-proof far-infrared car painting drying equipment at the Regional Innovation Center Unit 312 of Jeonju University.

Developed as a result of a long-term study in preparation for the era of high oil prices, the car painting drying equipment is considered a groundbreaking planned product for its eco-friendly and high-efficiency system, which reduces drying costs by 90 percent compared to the existing one.

According to Jeon Jin-woo, president of the company, the product is a system that dries the paint with radiated far-infrared radiation heat using an electric far-infrared drying device installed inside the painting booth without using oil boilers, so the drying cost can be reduced by nearly 90 percent compared to the existing hot air type using gas or oil, and its feature is that it has improved gloss and coat film quality and reduced pinhole occurrence regardless of the air layer.

In addition, it is a far-infrared radiation heat system that penetrates the inside of paint through nuclear magnetic resonance and resonance absorption, which is superior in performance and quality, and has a pleasant working environment with the eco-friendly pollution-free system because there is no emission or dust generation.

In addition to this, it is a product that has secured work safety after receiving the recently controversial approval from the Korea Gas Safety Corporation for the explosion-proofing under the Industrial Safety and Health Act of the Ministry of Labor.

In particular, the company explained that the fuel cost for the hot air drying is 2.17 million KRW a month (based on 5 hours a day and 25 days a month), while the electricity bill for the far-infrared radiation heat drying is 280,000 won (in the same condition as the other), which saves by 87 percent in cost.
