1) Infrared Heating

Infrared rays do not require intermediate objects for transfer when transferring energy in the form of electromagnetic waves, so there is no heat loss in the process. This direct and loss-free movement of heat has several advantages in heating the radiated subject while heating of the object in infrared rays usually has a disadvantage that it only applies to the surface of the object.

In other words, infrared heating is appropriate to heat a thin object with a wide surface area.

2) Thermal Radiation

This is a phenomenon in which a group of particles (atoms, molecules, ions) that make up a substance are excited by heat, resulting in the emission of radio waves. This phenomenon is pronounced at higher temperatures, however it surely occurs when the object is at temperatures above absolute temperature (°K). Most of the radiation from celestial bodies including the sun is thermal radiation.

3) Full Radiator

This refers to an object that absorbs all of the incident radiation regardless of the wavelength, direction of incidence, or polarization. In addition, a radiator which emits the maximum thermal radiation in the range of radio waves at any temperature is referred to as a black body and the Planck radiator. In reality, however, there is no perfect black body, but the radiator that is close to this state is commonly referred to as a black body, which is defined as a full radiator.
